Job Responsibilities:
  • Train and supervise dental students engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
  • Assist the faculty in preparing lesson outlines and curricula in assigned areas.
  • Evaluate the students’ performance and liability in the clinics.
  • Diagnose and treat variety of diseases and injuries in general practice.
  • Maintain hygiene, health and safety measures in the dental clinics.
  • Examine patients, using medical instruments and equipment.
  • Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
  • Medical Examination of students and when necessary staff members.
  • Administer or prescribe treatments and drugs.
  • Analyze reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnose condition.
  • Intake and documentation of patient vitals, history and subjective symptoms.
  • Administer oral medication and injections.
  • Order lab tests, urgent care procedures, and processing potentially infectious/hazardous material.
  • Ensure chart preparation for patient visits and review; uses computer for medical charting, scheduling, etc.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and referral audits.
  • Provide patient information and education on topics such as diet, procedure information, and overall health education. 
  • May serve on department and/or quality improvement committees, and other committees.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry/ Dental Surgery or any related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the field.
  • MOH license.
Skills Required:
  • Knowledge and understanding of the operating characteristics and procedures of a medical practice.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with Students & staff.
  • Skill in the analysis and evaluation of clinical appointment systems and physician protocols.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and developing legal issues and trends in medical billing, coding, and associated documentation.
  • Knowledge of clinical productivity standards and benchmarks.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
  • Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
