Job Responsibilities:

Job purpose : The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College who ensures the academic welfare of the students and faculty members.
Supervision : The Dean reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the following:
- The effective discharge of assigned duties.
- The effective management of the academic, financial and administrative affairs of the college.
- Fostering constructive and successful relationships with external constituencies.
- Providing an environment for the promotion of excellence in teaching, research and professional service.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Dean is in charge of the following:
- Lead the development and enhancement of programs, Curricula and study plans in the college.
- Work with faculty members, staff, and students to develop and oversee the College academic programs.
- Lead the pursuit of various required national and international accreditation and related activities.
- Articulate clearly the college’s strategic vision and distinctive characteristics, accomplishments and aspirations to all constituencies, ensuring that the public perception of the College aligns with its ambitious goals to continue to attract the best and brightest students, faculty and staff and to produce graduates of the highest caliber.
- Ensure the continuous assessment through development of learning objectives, appropriate strategies, and feedback to ensure academic excellence and integrity of programs.
- Provide recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on hiring, promotion, and termination of faculty members and staff.
- Actively participate in the meetings, initiatives, and activities of the Council for Academic Affairs (CfAA).
- Enhance and extend relationships with industry, government, business and other education and research institutions locally and abroad.
- Help in facilitating and attracting funding and sponsorship opportunities for research, consultancy and executive education.
- Manage the Budget and Resources available to the college.
